Lower West Fork Project

Bitterroot National Forest Ravalli, Montana West Fork Ranger District

Vegetation management to reduce fuels and improve forest health-diversity through commercial contract and prescribed fire. Additional projects may include forest pre-commercial thinning; road decommissioning; fisheries passage improvements.

Location

The project location is about 7 to 15 miles southwest of Darby, Montana and includes National Forest Service lands on both sides of the west fork of the Bitterroot river.
