After two wildfires, many competing species have hindered Whitebark pine regeneration in the project area. This project will establish a progeny test site for WBP and to select genetically superior progeny that are resistant to insects and disease.
Location
The site proposed for the test plantation is northeast of Spur Park and north of Lost Fork Ridge along road 6418 that leads to the Sand Point trailhead within Middle Fork Judith IRA.
