Cable-Poorman Motorized Access Management

Kootenai National Forest Lincoln, Montana Libby Ranger District

To improve the core condition in bear managment unit (BMU) 5, this project proposes to store National Forest System roads 6214 and 6214F. Stabilization work would occur on these yearlong gated roads to store and place into grizzly bear core habitat.

Location

Approximately 16 miles south of Libby, Montana, and to the west of U.S. Highway 2. Associated with the Cable, Little Cherry, and Poorman creek drainages.
