Treatment of 120 acres of hazardous fuels to reduce wildfire probability. Treatment consists of construction of fuelbreaks averaging 400 feet in width via a mixture of commercial removal of conifers and hand thinning. Fuels will be piled and burned.
Location
Within Spearfish Canyon on the Northern Hills Ranger District along the forest boundary near the mouth of the canyon and along the Highway from Iron Creek to Savoy.
