Cold Springs Project

Black Hills National Forest Lawrence, South Dakota Northern Hills Ranger District

This project is intended to reduce the risk of mountain pine beetle caused mortality in ponderosa pine stands in an area managed primarily for timber production. Commercial and non-commercial thinning as well as prescribed burning are being proposed.

Location

The southwest corner of the Northern Hills Ranger District in the vicinity of O'Neil Pass
