Phoenix 42 Placer Mining Project

Black Hills National Forest Custer, South Dakota Hell Canyon Ranger District

Mining will consist of trenches approximately 150 ft. long x 50 ft. wide x 10 ft. deep. Gravels from the trenches will e processed through a trommel. Initially 5 yards of ore will be processed per hour. Mining will be conducted 10-12 hours per day.

Location

The project is along Upper French Creek approximately three-quarters of a mile west of the intersection of U.S. Highway 16 and County Road 286 (Upper French Creek Road). Access via existing access rd.
