Tepee Canyon Project

Black Hills National Forest Custer, South Dakota Hell Canyon Ranger District

The purpose and need of this project is to increase the wildfire resilience of the project area using commercial and non-commercial treatments in ponderosa pine stands.

Location

The Tepee Canyon project area is located approximately 17 miles west of the city of Custer, one mile west of Jewel Cave National Monument and is directly adjacent to the At-Risk Community of Custer Highlands Subdivision.
