Removal of poor-formed ponderosa pine from within the 1939 McVey burn area and planting with seedlings from native Black Hills ponderosa pine. The project also proposes activities that would improve the growth, vigor and health of ponderosa pine.
Location
The Artemis Restoration Project area is located approximately five miles north of Hill City, South Dakota.
