Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests San Miguel, Colorado Grand Mesa Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forest All Units

The physical closure of 15 abandoned adits and shafts, eight which are located within the Lizard Head Wilderness Area. Adits closed with backfilling or bulkheads made with mortar and stone; shafts will be closed with grated steel.

3 adits at Morning Star Mine; 5 adits in Upper Bilk Creek; 3 adits in Ophir; 2 adits on Yellow Mtn; 2 shafts in Grays Basin.
