Tri-State Montrose-Nucla-Cahone Transmission Line Geotechnical testing

Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests Montrose, Colorado Ouray Ranger District

Twenty-one core holes would be drilled on the Ouray and Norwood Ranger Districts along existing transmission line. Holes would be drilled from rubber-tired rig and would be 20 to 30 feet deep and six inches in diameter.

Location

Uncompahgre Plateau, holes would be along a 14.5 miles stretch of existing Tri-State 130 kV transmission line, Ouray and Norwood Ranger Districts
