The project consists of physically closing 11 abandoned mine adits and 4 abandoned mine shafts on the Gunnison Ranger District in areas around Taylor Park.

Around Taylor Park, 35 miles northeast of Gunnison, including: Forest Hill, Cumberland Pass, Jack's Cabin, Manganese Gulch, Pearl Pass, Matchless mountain, Italian Creek, and New York Peak.
