Ironton AML Physical Safety Closures Project would install closures at 22 inactive mines which pose the greatest physical hazards to the public or other resources.

Location

Features to be closed are located on National Forest System lands along U.S. 550 (Red Mountain Pass), NFSR 886 (Corkscrew Road), and NFSR 887 (Grey Copper Road) in Ouray and San Juan Counties.
