Round Mountain Project

Pike-San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands Park, Colorado South Park Ranger District

The project will decrease homogeneous forested stands with the use of thinning treatments and prescribed fire throughout the majority of the proposed project area. The treatments will be achieved via mechanical and conventional handwork (chainsaw).

Location

The entire project is located approximately 4 miles northwest of the intersection of US-24 and Park County road 77 (Tarryall Rd.)
