Lake Fork Stream Restoration

Pike-San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands Lake, Colorado Leadville Ranger District

This project proposes using natural river restoration techniques to restore channel geometry, increase fisheries habitat, mitigate unstable banks, areas of accelerated erosion and abnormal sediment transport, and, improve natural stream features.

Location

Lake Fork Creek downstream of Turquoise Lake and County Road (CR) 4, approximately 1/4 mile downstream from the culverts on CR 4.
