Threemile Creek Vegetation Management

Pike-San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands Chaffee, Colorado Salida Ranger District

The purpose of this project is to mimic the natural fire return interval in warm, dry mixed conifer and aspen stands in order to maintain forest health, enhance wildlife habitat, and promote fire resilient forests.

Location

Threemile Creek area near Mount Antero, 3-5 miles west/southwest of Centerville, Colorado.
