Thin approximately 3300 acres to alter vegetation to maintain condition classes that support desirable fire behavior, and increase forest and ecosystem diversity and resilience to disturbance. Use prescribed fire on 13,000 acres for same purpose

Location

Mechanical Treatements in the Fosset Gulch area west of Bayfield. Prescribed fire treatments in much of the HD Mountains area, including Sauls Creek, Armstrong Canyon, and Fosset Gulch areas.
