Cruzville Timber Stand Improvement

Gila National Forest Catron, New Mexico Reserve Ranger District

Propose to treat approx. 5,699 acres to improve timber stands. High densities of pinon-juniper, gray oak, and ponderosa pine trees have resulted in reduced tree growth and stand conditions more prone to high mortality.

Location

Approximately 1 mile Northeast of Reserve and adjacent to the community of Cruzville along NMSH 12
