Santa Fe National Forest Rio Arriba, New Mexico Coyote Ranger District

The project involves thinning and prescribed fire on approximately 2100 acres of Ponderosa pine and mixed conifer forested stands. Up to one mile of temproary road may be needed to access stands. Primary objectives are to restore stand structure.

Location

West of Coyote, NM approximately 6 miles and south of NM Highway 96 along the western side of FR 103. The project is located between the San Pedro Parks Wilderness and the community of Mesa Poleo, NM
