2014 Trinity Ridge Whitebark Pine Restoration Project

This project proposes to plant about 150 acres of whitebark pine in order to reestablish whitebark pine, a candidate species under the Endangered Species Act, where it sustained high levels of mortality as a result of the 2012 Trinity Ridge Wildfire.

Location

The project area is located Trinity Lakes Area of the Mountain Home Ranger District within the 2012 Trinity Ridge Wildfire Area. Nearby communities include Prairie, Pine, and Featherville, Idaho.
