Forest-wide Programmatic Beaver Dam Analog Projects 2020 - 2029

Payette National Forest Adams; Idaho; Valley; Washington, Idaho Payette National Forest All Units

This is a ten year project to install up to 100 beaver dam analogs on the Payette National Forest which mimic the hydrologic effects of natural beaver dam activity. Projects areas will be identified to meet the criteria set out in this analysis.

Location

The first project is planned on Lick Creek on the Council Ranger District consisting of approximately 10 beaver dam analogs. Additional streams reaches would be identified in outyear planning.
