Sawtooth National Forest Blaine; Custer, Idaho Sawtooth National Recreation Area

Project designed to reduce risk of wildfire to improvements and infrastructure, to improve forest health, and increase the ability of forest and sagebrush meadow ecosystems to resist and recover from disturbance like wildfire and insect outbreaks.

Location

The project area is located in Blaine and Custer County approximately 15 miles south of Stanley, Idaho and includes Alturas and Pettit lakes and surrounding areas.
