UC Cow Camp Meadow Thinning Project

Eldorado National Forest El Dorado, California Pacific Ranger District

Improve wildlife habitat and meadow hydrology by removing small conifer trees (<10" dbh) that are encroaching UC Cow Camp Meadow. Cut trees using chainsaws; then scatter and/or chip. Place few trees in stream channel to trap sediment.

UC Cow Camp Meadow, adjacent to Barrett 4WD Trail, approximately 4.5 miles north from the trailhead at Wrights Lake Recreation Area
