The Forest Service proposes to reduce erosional downcutting along streambanks by felling dead trees that will serve as temporary Beaver Dam Analogs to retain sentiment and reduce stream flow to maintain the stream channel, downstream of a burn unit.
Location
Project areas are located south of the Klamath River and within the McKinney Fire (2022) burn scar. Project areas are roughly 6-10 miles northwest of Yreka, California.
