Caldwell Fire Restoration and Timber Salvage Project

Modoc National Forest Modoc; Siskiyou, California Modoc National Forest All Units

This project involves removal of burned hazard trees along roads and salvage of burned timber where feasible. The intent is to take remedial actions to minimize hazards, recover portions of remaining viable resources and re-initiate forest structure.

Location

The Caldwell Project is located west of Highway 139 on the Doublehead Ranger District of the Modoc National Forest. The project area is located approximately 19 miles south of Tulelake California.
