Cliff Nesting Raptor Habitat Enhancement Project

Plumas National Forest Plumas, California Mt. Hough Ranger District

Restore nesting habitat for golden eagles and falcons as replacement for habitat lost when the Moonlight Fire burned. Suitable nesting structures would be created on cliffs by excavating rock to an area measuring 3 feet by 3 feet in two locations.

Location

The sites are north of Taylorsville. Access to the sites would be off of NFS road 27N51, trail 11M33 (site 1) and NFS road 27N82(site 2).
