Bear Wallow Mastication Project

Deschutes National Forest Deschutes, Oregon Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District

There is a need to provide strategic fuel breaks between the wilderness, inventoried roadless areas and the Bend Municipal Watershed, private land and northwest Bend. Reduce ladder fuels along strategic Forest Service roads 4601 and 4602.

Location

11 miles west of Bend Oregon between Wilderness and the Bend Municipal Watershed, private land near the Skyliner road.
