Mountain Mahogany Restoration

Deschutes National Forest Deschutes, Oregon Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District

Project objectives are to restore mountain mahogany by thinning, planting seedlings and/or protecting natural regeneration of mountain mahogany to improve habitat conditions for various high desert species on approximately 4,300 acres.

Location

The project area is located on the far southeast side of the District, approximately 26 to 4 miles southeast of the City of Bend.
