Watkins Butte Habitat Improvement

Deschutes National Forest Deschutes, Oregon Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District

This project proposes to replant patches of mountain mahogany, a native species to the area. Patches would likely be 5 %u2013 10 acres in size in the most suitable site. This project would also construct a fence around a natural spring in the area.

Location

Watkins Butte is located in the southeast corner of the Bend - Fort Rock Ranger District, east of Watkins Butte Road, Forest Road 2315-300.
