The Quartz Mountain fire burned with high severity and mixed severity across approximately 50 acres on August 17, 2018. The project proposes to plant the area with ponderosa pine and a small area (about 4 acres) with mountain mahogany.

Approximately 28 miles east of La Pine, Oregon.
