Midstate Electric Cooperative Transmission Line Upgrade

Deschutes National Forest Klamath, Oregon Crescent Ranger District

Upgrade powerline from Gilchrist to Diamond Lake Junction under Midstate Electric Cooperative's special use permit. MEC will replace outdated wooden poles, consolidate transmission/distribution lines, and update their power infrastructure.

Location

~15 miles of transmission line are located on National Forest System Lands. The line generally runs parallel to Highway 97 from Gilchrist south to the Highway 138 junction.
