John Creek Salvage Project

Umpqua National Forest Douglas, Oregon North Umpqua Ranger District

Harvest up to 250 acres of dead and dying trees impacted by the 2020 Archie Creek Fire, within the matrix land use allocation. A connected action is the treatment of activity generated fuels.

Location

The project area is located within the northwest half of the Middle North Umpqua River watershed, off National Forest System road 4711, approximately 35 miles east of the town of Roseburg.
