Improve forest health while concurrently reducing the risk of Southern Pine Beetle (SPB) outbreak through the thinning of overstocked pine stands.
Location
The project area is south of the Sipsey Wilderness Area between Winston County Road 23 and AL Hwy 33 in Area 1 as defined by the Bankhead Forest Health and Restoration Project.
