Wildcat Ridge Abandoned Mine Land Reforestation Project

Daniel Boone National Forest Pulaski, Kentucky London Ranger District

The project would restore 32 acres of previously surface-mined site to a forested condition by planting seedlings of oaks, hickories, and other highly valued hardwoods. UFSF and Green Forests Work would coordinate efforts with volunteers to help.

Location

Project site is located 4.5 miles south of KY 192 and 24 miles southwest of the city of London, Kentucky, on Forest Service Road 122 near the community of Mount Victory.
