Approximately 45 miles of Florida National Scenic Trail are proposed for relocation from the western to the eastern side of the Kissimmee River to provide for a safe and connected route of the FNST and eliminate major infrastructure needs.
Location
The project area includes Highlands and Okeechobee Counties on South Florida Water Management District, Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park and Avon Park Bombing Range lands.
