FY 18 Thinning Tigercat

National Forests in Florida Baker, Florida Osceola Ranger District

Several forest stands have been selected for thinning pine down to a density of 40 to 60 square feet basal area to meet Red-cockaded woodpecker recovery standards for future habitat.

Location

Sites are located in the west central area of the Osceola National Forest in Compartments 32,33,and 36.
