Osceola Forestwide Restoration Project

National Forests in Florida Baker; Columbia, Florida Osceola Ranger District

The Osceola NF proposes to evaluate and select pine stands across the forest for timber thinning and re-establishment of longleaf pine to reduce hazardous fire fuels, improve plant and wildlife habitat, and to establish healthy ecosystem processes.

Location

This project covers all pine flatwood stands within the Osceola NF. The forest is approximately 45 miles west of Jacksonville Florida.
