The project would commercially harvest approximately 2,970 acres of timber to improve forest health and lower the risk of a southern pine beetle outbreak.

Location

The Cainhoy project area is in Berkeley County, SC within the Francis Marion National Forest. The project area stretches north and east to United Road, south to Halfway Creek Road, and west to Cainhoy Road within the community of Huger
