Project will include 34,525 acres of pheromone disruptor treatments and 349 acres (included in the 34,525 acre footprint) of Btk (biological insecticide) to suppress and slow the spread of Gypsy Moth in Grayson, Wythe and Smyth Counties.
Location
The areas to be treated are named the Nebo, Glade Mountain, Whitetop Mountain and Iron Mountain Blocks and are located 5 miles NE, 4 miles E, 7 miles SW and 18 miles SE of Marion, VA, respectively.
