The proposed action involves commercial thinning of white pine on approximately 39 acres within the next one to five years. The thinning would remove up to one-half of the upper and middle canopy of the stand retaining an average residual basal area.

Location

The project area includes approximately 39 acres of National Forest System lands located about 5 miles west of Churchville, VA in Augusta County on the North River Ranger District.
