2019 Shortleaf Restoration Project

Ozark-St. Francis National Forest Conway; Johnson; Madison; Newton; Pope; Van Buren, Arkansas Bayou Ranger District

This project would attempt to restore native shortleaf pine in areas where offsite loblolly pine currently is growing. Some areas are lands that have been acquired by the Ozark-St Francis NFs. Eastern red cedar and firewood may be included in this.

This project is located across the district where acquired lands have been planted in loblolly or where loblolly occurs in acquired timber company land due to past management actions prior to FS owned
