National Forests and Grasslands in Texas Sabine; Shelby, Texas Sabine Ranger District

First commercial thinning in 47 pine plantations ranging in age from 18-33 years. Approximately 4,400 acres are involved which includes > 100 acres of inclusions. Location is on the north end of Sabine NF in Shelby and Sabine Counties.

Location

Shelby County, Compartments 15-16, 18-19, 29-30, 35-37, 39-41, 43-45, 48-49, and 55-57. Stands 12 and 13 in Compartment 57 are located in Sabine County.
