Commercially thin approximately 3,530 acres of 77 overstocked pine stands ranging in age from about 20 to 40 years in age, to an average basal area of 60-70 square feet per acre.
Location
The White City First Thinning Project is located from two miles northeast of Broaddus, Texas to the south end of FM 705 and the north side of Sam Rayburn Reservoir in San Augustine County.
