Davy Crockett National Forest Prescribed Burn Project

National Forests and Grasslands in Texas Houston; Trinity, Texas Davy Crockett Ranger District

The purpose of this project is to reduce hazardous fuels and restore fire-adapted ecosystems through the intentional application of fire on the landscape. The Dave Crockett NF proposes prescribed burning roughly 260,000 acres with prescribed fire.
