Gypsy Moth Infestation Treatment

Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie Will, Illinois Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie All Units

Proposed treatment is a single aerial application of mating disruptant flakes. The disruptant is a pheromone that is highly specific for the gypsy moth. This treatment is part of a larger effort to slow the spread of this non-native invasive insect.

Location

600 acres east of Illinois State Route 53 along Prairie Creek.
