Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie Will, Illinois Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie All Units

Introduce a herd of bison on an experimental basis; monitor tallgrass prairie and grassland bird habitat establishment using bison grazing practices.

Location

The Bison Establishment area will be located on the east side of Midewin, along Route 53, south of the planned Prairie Learning Center and north of Prairie Creek
