Gore Greendale Diverse Forest Project

Wayne National Forest Hocking; Perry, Ohio Athens Ranger District

Reviewing over 4,800 acres of mature hardwood and pine stands in the analysis area in order to improve the health and vigor of the forest. Uneven-age timber management, invasive species treatments, and prescribed fire are considered as tools.

Location

9,400 acres between the old mining settlements of Gore on State Route 93 and Greendale.
