The Tenaya Project's objective is to increase forest health and resilience through commercial and pre-commercial harvest, fuels reduction, reforestation and other activities.
Sierra National Forest
This Project is designed to be an accelerated post-fire management response within those high and moderate burn severity footprints that includes hazard abatement, fuels and biomass removal, and restoration.
New construction of a livestock holding field pasture fence that connects to an existing drift fence. This holding field pasture would be ~1.72 acres and 0.22 miles long and would enclose and connect to the exiting drift fence on the western border.

The project includes restoration and vegetation management to reduce risk of high-severity wildfires designed to help safeguard forest resources and nearby communities. Note: the 2025 Garnet Fire burned much of the proposed project area, and so the EA completion deadline moved to 10/01/2026.
The project consists of replacing a bridge with a precast concrete slab and other associated parts. The bridge approach will be graded and the prior bridged demolished.
Conduct a combination of activities to improve forest health in the project area. The proposed action would manage forest structure and density to increase resilience and reduce the risk of uncharacteristic stand-replacing wildfire and related adverse effects such as loss of wildlife habitat.
