Bonehead Hill Blowdown Salvage

Idaho Panhandle National Forests Shoshone, Idaho St. Joe Ranger District

We propose to salvage currently identified blown down and damaged trees near Avery, Idaho in response to a severe wind event in December 2025 that caused substantial mortality and damage to forested vegetation.

Location

The Project is located five to seven miles south and southeast of Avery, Idaho in the vicinity of Jacksons Knob, Bonehead Hill, Sisters Creek, Siwash Creek, Blue Grouse Cree, Shoepack Creek and East Fork Fishhook Creek.
