Sand Creek Fuel Break

Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests & Pawnee National Grassland Larimer, Colorado Canyon Lakes Ranger District

The U.S. Forest Service, Canyon Lakes Ranger District proposes the construction of low-tech process based restoration structures, and up to 400 acres of fuel break units along existing roads and linear features to support wildland fire suppression operations and reduce risks to adjacent communities.

Location

Deadman Road (CO 86) and National Forest System Road (NFSR) 303 in the Sand Creek, Nunn Creek, and North Fork Cache La Poudre River-Panhandle Creek Subwatershed's.
