Remove Lift 5, replace magic carpet surface conveyer at Loveland Ski Area

The Forest Service is considering amending the Forest Plan to provide direction on recreational sport shooting activities on the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests. PALS # for this project is 46910.

Proposed treatment actions will include manual and mechanical vegetation thinning and the application of prescribed fire. All treatments will occur within 1,000 feet of an adjacent constructed linear feature (i.e. roads and trails). PALS # for this project is 64845.

The Forest Service proposes a suite of management tools to improve and maintain a resilient landscape, facilitate fire adapted communities, and improve wildfire response. PALS # for this project is 62591.

The Forest Service proposes to remove the physical threat from falling trees to people and property along open roads and trails, water diversion ditches and reservoirs, and in designated recreation sites and administrative sites. PALS # is 24618.

The Forest Service proposes to reduce hazardous fuels, enhance aspen and restore meadows and reduce the risk of negative effects of wildfire to the watershed in the area east of Nederland, CO and west of Gross Reservoir. PALS # for this project is 47358.

The purpose of this project is to reduce wildfire risk and increase wildfire safety along priority evacuation corridors in Gilpin County through hand treatments, to prepare in the event of a wildfire incident and evacuation orders. PALS # for this project is 68674.

The Forest Service proposes to allow the City of Greeley to take proactive steps to update and repair the diversion structure and place a concrete pad to measure flow on its Hourglass ditch. The PALS # for this project is 68562.

Identify the transportation system necessary to meet Forest Plan objectives. PALS # for this project is 3564.

The U.S. Forest Service, Canyon Lakes Ranger District proposes forest vegetation management through commercial timber harvesting to support the local wood industry economy and increase structural stage and age class diversity. PALS # is 68976.

The Forest Service proposes authoring a suite of management tools to improve forest resiliency and mitigate risk to communities, wildlife, watersheds and other values at risk from large-scale wildfires and other disturbances. PALS # for this project is 61372.

The Forest Service is proposing to exchange one parcel of National Forest System land containing approx. 5.5 acres to TMII Development, LLC in exchange for TMII Development, LLC conveying one parcel of land approx. 50.23 acres to the United States.

Summer trail construction, tree thinning. PALS # for this project is 65938.

The Allenspark Water and Sanitation District maintains a dam, water diversion, and water transmission pipeline on Forest land. The Forest Service will review the expired authorization and work towards issuance of a new permit for this site. The PALS # for this project is 68049.

This project proposes to realign a portion of Green Ridge Road (NFSR 177), whose present alignment is not sustainable and is creating an unacceptable level of resource damage to sensitive riparian areas and infrastructure damage to the road itself. The PALS # was 68687.

The purpose of this project is to provide a Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA) authorization to a private road association for access to a private road that is not on the Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM). PALS Project # was 67949.

The Forest Service needs is to review and authorize the aerial fiberoptic cable that was installed in an existing electrical utility right of way up to the communications lease site on Starr Peak.

The purpose is to construct three trail bridges to maintain trails for safe access by mitigating trail erosion and address maintenance issues that negatively impact watershed health. The PALS # for this project is 68681.

The majority of the watershed contributing to this site was burned during the Cameron Peak Fire. Project proposes adding log structures to the stream to capture sediment to improve water quality, riverscape resiliency, and reconnect the floodplain. The PALS # for this project was 67762.

The proposed action may include, but is not limited to, trailhead redesign, regrading roads and parking lots, reconstructing existing cabin structures, and replacing toilets. The PALS # for this project is 67943.

The purpose is to develop the historic cabin at the Hessie Trailhead into a recreation site that can be used by partners and Visitor Information Services (VIS) to engage the public. The PALS # for this project is 67945.

The purpose of this project is to expand year-round parking, improve traffic flow, provide a better hub for accessing trails, and add to increase public health and safety by addressing sanitation and resource concerns.

Structural calculations for the existing wood monopole at this facility have indicated that it needs to be replaced with a new tower that is structurally adequate for the necessary technology updates.

The purpose of this project is to replace the existing septic system with a new system that meets Boulder County regulations.

This project aims to reduce the risk of bark beetle attacks by applying preventative carbaryl insecticide treatments to select trees in Kelly Dahl, Olive Ridge, and Meeker Park Campgrounds located on the Boulder Ranger District.

This project aims to bring four (4) additional segments of overhead broadband fiber located within an existing right of way into compliance by adding them to Visionary Communication LLC’s existing Special Use Authorization BOU756.

The purpose of this project is to support the continued maintenance and operation of Xcel Energy’s electrical distribution infrastructure on the Forest. Pole replacement work will help keep the system operational and help to mitigate fire risk.

This project is a continuation/expansion upon the previous Barker Gravity Pipeline Special Use Permit project, whose decision memo was signed on July 1, 2025. The purpose of this project is to review the City of Boulder’s proposal for burial of an additional section of historic rock walls.

The purpose of this project is to restore and re-hydrate wet meadows, improve water quality by slowing and spreading flow, increase floodplain habitat connectivity, promote channel resiliency, encourage beaver colonization to new areas, and improve wildlife habitat.

This project will amend the current Highway 6 Seven Sisters Remote Avalanche Control Systems (RACS) special use permit to allow for the replacement of the current Gazex system, which is no longer economically viable, and replace it with an explosive based system.

This project will amend the current SNOTEL special use permit to add one data collection site on the summit of Mount Blue Sky with two to three smaller (than the standard SNOTEL) structures for data continuity purposes to both maintain and bolster the hydro-meteorologic data's period of record.

The project involves the re-grading of 400-600 linear feet of existing Clear Creek County secondary non maintained road called Van Eden Road (FSR 733.1) to improve safety.

The U.S. Forest Service, Canyon Lakes Ranger District proposes the construction of low-tech process based restoration structures, and up to 400 acres of fuel break units along existing roads and linear features to support wildland fire suppression operations and reduce risks to adjacent communities.

The City of Idaho Springs needs to install a rock barrier fence between the mountain and their finished water storage tank, and to install a spider net on a large rock at risk of falling and catastrophically damaging the City's water storage tank.

A new water tank and line were authorized by the FS in August 2024. During the pre-construction meeting, a new route for the water line was requested to shorten the length of the water line. The permit will be amended with the new location.

This project aims to increase stability and floodplain connectivity within the Clear Creek Watershed to provide added resilience to the corridor if a wildfire were to occur and restore the floodplain to a more functional state.

The proposed project is to amend the existing authorization SUL648 to allow for this specific maintenance and operation improvements/winterization on existing structures. No new structures are included.

This project will provide a Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA) authorization to a private property owner for maintenance and plowing a forest road that is on the MVUM. Currently, maintenance is unauthorized on an existing road.

The Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed and the Forest Service propose to improve water quality and riverscape resiliency following impacts from the 2020 Cameron Peak Fire on Elkhorn Creek, a tributary to the Cache la Poudre River.

The Forest Service proposes to recover the economic value of stands of suitable timber impacted by the bark beetle outbreak.

The Forest Service proposes to allow PVREA to adjust and replace several existing powerline poles and conductors so Lumen can attach fiber optic. This allows Lumen to provide broadband to the Forest Service work center in Red Feather

This project will amend an existing master permit for Barker Gravity pipeline to add an access road and issue 1-2 new temporary special use permits for rock wall repairs and siphon replacements within the Barker Gravity Pipeline area.

The purpose of this project is to issue a temporary construction permit to the City of Denver to repair a concrete and a wingwall at the Jim Creek diversion structure. Work is needed to maintain the structural integrity.

Conveyance of approximately 1.45 acres under the Small Tracts Act (STA) authority in order for proponent to have access to their property.

Dam maintenance activities on private land owned by Circle C Ranch King LLC would inundate NFS lands under both normal and flood pool elevations and needs inundation authorization from the Forest Service.

Xcel Energy has identified a need to replace a structure. For Circuit 9665, they want to remove existing road barriers, install a gate, and develop a work site with possible tree removal for a pole replacement.

CDOT proposes to replace their existent maintenance facility with a new, more environmentally sound one.

This project proposes planting 50,848 conifer seedlings in severely burned areas on up to 350 acres within the East Troublesome Fire and Williams Fork Fire footprints on the Sulphur Ranger District.

The project is to reroute portions of the Hewlett Gulch trail to increase sustainability, reduce erosion by following the countour of adjacent hillsides and decreasing the grade, and improve access for additional nonmotorized uses.

Several amenities and much of the infrastructure at the Jacks Gulch Campground was burned in the 2020 Cameron Peak Fire. This project seeks to repair damaged infrastructure and redesign the campground to allow for additional recreation opportunities

Severe burn damage in the basin feeding this section of the Laramie River has contributed to water quality degradation. Project proposes to construct several structures to capture sediment, and planting Willow stakes to improve riparian vegetation.

The US Air Force is lead agency and the Forest Service is a cooperating agency. The EIS will study effects of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent System, a portion of which is on National Forest System land and requires special use authorization.

The Big Thompson Watershed Coalition and the Forest Service propose to use process based restoration techniques to improve water quality, protect downstream infrastructure, and promote channel resiliency within Elk Creek and its tributaries.

The Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed and the Forest Service propose to improve water quality and riverscape resiliency following impacts from the 2020 Cameron Peak Fire on Sheep Creek, a major tributary to the Cache la Poudre River.

Northern Water proposes to use process-based restoration techniques and structures to improve water quality and floodplain connectivity following the 2020 East Troublesome Fire on the middle tributary to Denver Creek.

The Tolland Trail/Jenny Creek Connection is ~600 ft trail connection that is part of the larger 5.3-mile Tolland Ranch Trail project led by Boulder County. It will provide a trails connection across private land to USFS lands.

The Forest proposes to conduct routine maintenance of a state highway running through USFS lands.

The purpose of this project is to replace a restroom that was burned in the Cameron Peak Fire of 2020.

This work will stabilize structural components and preserve exterior finishes of the Buckhorn buildings to prevent further deterioration and to allow for future restoration work.

To issue City of Loveland a long term authorization for use and operation of historic cabins located partially on National Forest System lands adjacent to Visteinz-Smith Park.

To issue Platte River Power Authority to construct and operate fiber optic service between Loveland and Estes Park. New line it to be co-located on existing power line system already under authorization to City of Loveland and City of Estes Park.
